Reuben Henriques is a Research Assistant with the Democratic Knowledge Project supporting the creation of the seventh-grade comparative civilizations curriculum. He is a master’s student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in the Instructional Leadership strand of the Learning and Teaching program. Previously, Reuben was a history teacher and instructional coach at KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate in Lynn, MA. He also developed curriculum and facilitated professional development for high school world history teachers across the KIPP network of charter schools. Reuben graduated from Brown University in 2012 with a A.B. in Political Science; his senior thesis examined the theoretical justification for mandatory civic participation laws.
