Joseph is a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education studying Education Policy and Management. He is interested in researching how partisan politics and curriculum development intersect at state level education agencies. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2015 majoring in Political Science and History, with a Secondary Teaching Certificate. Prior to coming to Harvard, Joseph taught 11th grade U.S. History for three years in Dallas, Texas at Woodrow Wilson High School. In this position, Joseph was the U.S. History Team Lead and the Head Debate Coach. As a Gates Millennium Scholar, Joseph’s goal is to ensure that all students are given the necessary resources to succeed and empowered in educational spaces and hope the Democratic Knowledge Project can assist in that goal.
